Rising Damp?

when driving in heavy rain with alot of spray after about 20 mins the engine seems to go from 6 cylinders to 4ish its only in the rain and at idle all sounds fine it just seems 2 be underload its as if spark plugs are wet is the proberlm from rain off the screen or spray off the road hitting something in my ignition system i cant find the willpower to get under the bonnet in the rain and the dark to look for something im not sure what im looking for any advice would be great

alright man, i don't know where to start. but the only reason rainwater should affect your engine would be if you dumped into a HUGE puddle and then you'd experience hydrolock, in which you really would know it.... cause your car would shut down and it wouldn't be a smooth "power off" it would be a nasty feeling. looking under the bonnet won't get ya far. good luck

cheers its not big puddles its just general rain and wet roads my old car was terrible for hydrolock

Misfire in the rain is God's way of telling you that you need new spark plug wires.
