so i just got my brake pads and rotors replaced over a week ago. is it normal to still hear some squeaking noises from the brakes when im coming to a stop? i figured at first that they were just wearing in, but sometimes its relatively loud and i dont know when its going to stop. any experience with this situation? thanks in advance.

some brakes squeak some don't. squeaky brakes are usually caused by a missing anti vibration clip. Or sometimes they squeak just for the hell of it. It may or may not go away during wear of the pads. You can get grease to put behind the pad to quiet the vibration(squeak) between the caliper and the pad (Not between the pad and rotor!). Sometimes it works sometimes it does not.

I'm not sure what else to tell you. If it does go away it probably won't be untill quite a while.

what brand are the brake pads and what is their metallic content. some brake pads have a higher metallic content than stock pads and cause squeaking.

this isnt a little squeak. its embarrasing sometimes. if i lightly brake its barely noticible, but if im (admittedly) braking hard, then its screaming bloody murder.. ive been trying to keep my braking light as they are new pads and what not, but i dunno

brake hard for a few days, it will suck at first, but if it doesnt decrease then you know you're gonna have to put up with it or change the pads.
