Seatbelt Latch replacement?

97 328 is with electric seats.

How hard is it to replace the seatbelt latch. It's making my airbag light stay on and my mechanic says it may not allow airbag to deploy.

Has anyone done this?

Do you know of a walkthrough? I understand it requires taking out the seat.

Part is $79 at Bavarian Autosport or $160 to have mechanic replace.

Interesting... thanks for that tidbit. My friend's airbag light is on his 328i. As for your replacement I would check pelican parts to see if they are cheaper, and check their forums too.

I disagree - I would go with bavauto. I would go with bavauto before I would go to the parts department at the dealer back home - and the parts dept. guy there is AWESOME... I've never gotten service from ANY company like I get from bavauto.
