I reset my lights today. The inspection light went out but the green oil lights are still on. I tried a few times but the 3 sec interval doesn't do the trick.

Has anybody experienced a loss of power or missfiring from the removal and replacement of the data link cap?

I had this happen today but it seemed to have cleared up. Car runs much better on Mobil 1 synthetic.

The green oil lights are supposed to be on when the service is reset.

Yeah, the green lights show how much time you have left before your next recommended oil change. They go out, one by one until you just have the yellow one lit or the red one and it says "oil service" next to it.

As for misfiring or loss of power, that sounds really odd. I know that when I change my oil for the first couple of seconds after I start up my car it makes a little rattle rattle, but that clears up after a couple of seconds and has nothing to do with removal of the data link.
