Shock and Spring - ride height

I have a 97 328i with the sports package. I'm thinking of installing Bilstein sport shocks with H & R sport springs. From reading the manufacturer websites, I'm guessing that this will drop a stock 328i (without the optional sports package) 1-1.5 inches.

Does anyone know how much this combination will drop a 328i with the optional sports package?

Any other recommended suspension systems?

I think the difference would be less noticable than .5 inches, if there is any at all. The shocks and springs are engineered mostly for the weight of the car, and the weight will be the same for both cars.

ok, what i found out was that, yeah, new shocks and springs can drop your car quite a bit, I'm looking at the entire H&R cup kit, but i don't want my rear down more than .25" than what it is now, but i want my front down a good 1". so what you do is order your stuff up, then throw in spring pads to get your ride height back up.

that is what master e30 mechanic bluntheadtrauma told me. sounded like an awesome idea.

I have Bilstein and H&R springs and the drop was just enough. About 1 3/4 front and just over an inch in the rear. Rear wheels are tucked nice and front sits equal with the tire. I would suggest just buying the H&R coil over kit as they will be suited perfect for one another.
