Smoked a "Riced Out" Prelude on my way to Christmas Eve dinner...Not sure how fast those things really are but the guy definately lacked any solid driving skills.

Not that it was necessary in this case, but the K&N air filter I put in a few months ago really seems to give the car a little more punch...Happy Holidays! [cheers]

I have to agree with epj3. My last car before the 325is was a v-tec lude. That car was hands down faster than the car I have now. more hp and about the same torque as we have. Also a lighter car. I loved that car but it was a kids car so I moved up into something more refined. But yeah and if he would have mods on that car it helps out alot. The fourth gen 92-96 models were actually faster than the 5th gen models 97 and on. The fourth gen through 95 took mods really well. I have IHE, pulleys, cam gears and MSD ignition. about 2,000 in suspension mods as well. I wish now I would have kept it and got the bimmer also. I am currently looking for another one.

I really don't think Honda's are bad. My mate's brother has an Integra VTi-R and it goes like stink. Sounds good too!
I agree, I had a "91" Prelude (all options) that I recently sold. That was a great car. I loved that thing. I actually regret selling it. I actually miss that car....

Honda makes really good vehicles. I wouldn’t go around bashing them just because you own a BMW. Most major car companies make really good cars. Some make junk too, but overall there are many other good brands other than BMW….

Nothing wrong with Hondas (have owned them as well as Toyotas, both great makes), but I just have to laugh at people who "Rice" their cars!

Bahnstormer, don't worry about me racing around in my slow convertible for too long, buying an E46 M3 in the spring! [driving]

Hahaha it's funny, it seems BMW owners bash honda's calling them cheap, crappy, and whatever, and honda owners bash bmw for being overpriced and unreliable. The funny part is both are wrong [hihi]

Ricers are ricers no matter the brand - they just tend to own honda's for some reason.

ummm.... what is the point of having a car if your not going to make it faster??? i am pretty sure that everyone in the world makes their car faster and car companies do it as well... what the hell do you do with your car do you sit and look at it??

i am a owner of both honda and prelude and i have more problems with my bmw than my prelude then both my preludes actually... the only problem i ahd was the 95 turbo engine was too much torque for the motor mounts and so much torque that it broke my transmission housing and broke my flex pipe so it ran off headerws o well more horses i like my beemer alot too but its a very expensive car and a new exploration for me since i have never worked on one b4

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HONDAS LET EM ALONE IM SICK OF HEARING IT!!!!
for what you spend once to get your beemer fixed you could fix a honda for a lifetime and i am getting 39mpg on my si lude :p

i like honda's for their reliabillity i had 380,000 on my civic before i retired her cuz of the rust... i just hate the looks they are so plain jane and i can' t stand the body kits that are available...

i used to love smoking turbo'd ludes in my 82 volvo gl wagon. i've taken so much money off of the "ricers" in my area. they see this beat up sh*t brown volvo pull up wth dents on every corner rust holes on every panel but one, and they think because its ugly it's slow [nono] . and i never lied to them they asked me what i was running and i told em a turbo 6cyl.

it just goes to show... if you make your car look fast it doesn't actually mean it is fast. and vise versa.. True ricers have it all wrong all show and no go. i am working on a turbo set up for my bimmer [:D] ... then i'll take on your lude.. or maybe i'll build another volvo. LOL! [headbang]

1982 volvo wagon 1/4 times 11.190 et 122.00 mph 1.620 60 foot on drag radials.

Well sorry you have had problems with your bimmer. My family has had eight BMW's. 1987 528e, 1995 525i, 1994 325i, 1997 M3, 1998 540i, 2003 X5 3.0i, 2005 330i convert and a 2001 M roadster. Currently we have the 1997 M3, 540i, 330i convert and the M Roadster. If you keep with your maintance and be careful what you buy. BMW are very reliable, heck man I have taken my car (1997 M3 sedan)to the local road course several times. I ran the hell out of it. The car had 38,000 miles on it when I got it two years ago. Now it has 74,000 miles and it runs like new. [pray] [bmwdance]
