Spoiler Brake Light

Hi my m3 style spoiler brake light is no longer working and i'm having trouble finding a replacement strip. My local dealer says he cant get them, so can anyone tell me if they know who manufactures them or a site to buy one from. Please......................

are they leds? just replace the leds if they are. it's much cheaper that way...
