I had a local shop run the code after I was getting the SRS light on for the first 1 min after starting the car-then it goes off. Everyone knows this is probably a seat belt buckle. The code came back drivers side belt buckle, so I replaced it after disconnecting the battery as per Bentley book. Does this type of code fault require SRS reset after repair??? The light still comes on for a minute or 2.

I was under the impression SRS was for airbag.

I don't know about in BMW, but I believe that an SRS warning is for the air bag in Toyotas; I don't see why it would be any different.

I got a question. My srs is blinking too. It will blink for about 10 minutes or so and then burn constant. It happened after I disconnected my gauge cluster to change some bulbs. Just wondering if this is a major problem that I need to get fixed immediately.

DAAAAAH!!!! man you are from killeen???? Do you know KEVIN? KEVIN YOUNG!!!! MAN!!! HOw funny! he restores my mustang!!! I AM FREEEAAAKING OUT! [rofl]

aaahh...to your problem. did take the steering wheel of for that? anyway, if you have an airbag it would be dumb not to have it working. that baby is a life-safer!
i´d suggest you visit your local dealer and have him read out the diagnostics! that way you´ll know what it is and how to get it fixed if needed

Thanks man. That is what I have decided to do. I did not take the steering wheel off to do that. As for Killeen, I live here but I am not from here and I don't know Kevin. Does he work on Bimmers at all? I need to have some work done and I have been looking for a good shop to deal with.
