dude, you are the guru! it worked like a charm. before i go on let me refresh your memory. i had the high idle problem in my 533i which you suggested i replace the coolant temp sensor. well ya dun good. it still burns a little rich but atleast the idle is under control now. actually this is my son's car. i own the same model but mine needs a lot more work. these bimmers sure are sensitive to be so durable. go figure.
