On my 1997 M3 under the throttle, the only thing there is to stop the pedal is a simple bolt. I do not think BMW would use just use a simple bolt. Can anyone give me some information?
It is also stopped at the actual throttle. You can "hit the gas" from under the hood (where the gas petal is connected) and you can only push it so far.
A single bolt weighs less than a complex plastic part with illumination right? in terms of weight, which is the key key for fast cars, bmw did a good job
