whats up guys? Check this out. The other day some $hit slashed all 4 of my tires. I had Michelin Pilots w/ about 15k on them. I spent like $800+ change for them too. So I had the car towed to Intersate Tire in Hunt Valley M.D., and to get the car off of the flat bed the guy had to use boards to back up onto to keep the car from rubbing, cuz it is so low. So before he lowered it oof I told him "That board is cracked in the middle." He then says "Oh it's fine, I have another board underneath that one to support it." So he backs it off, and damned if that board didn't split and shove up into the bumper ripping it off of the car on the right side. It broke the fog light, fog light bracket, lower grill, wheel well trim, lower trim under the bumper, lower lip spoiler, and cracked the front bumper. I was freaking out. Then I ask him if his insurance is ganna cover it. He says "Oh i can't be held responsible for this, the car had 4 flat tires." So after the tires got put on I had to have the car towed again. This time to a place called Mudgetts. They do the best body work I have ever seen. And they specialize in BMW's. So through my insurance I had to pay my comprehensive $100 for the tires, and when the body work is done, which consists of all new parts(m3 front bumper, ect..), I will have to pay $200 more for my colision comprehensive. This toatally sucks, cuz right now i have to drive my moms 2nd car which is this beat toyota corrolla which has nothing my bimmer has. Im ganna have to drive it for like 2 weeks. I am so pisst right now about this whole thing. I just want my car back!!! If I ever find who slashed my tires in the first place, they are ganna be in a world of trouble!! I may have to go an get a better alarm system. And this couldn't have come at a worse time, cuz I am also in the process of having the tranny swap done. Well enough of my whining...........good luck be to your cars.

You should not have to pay a deductible on vandalism, it is not comprehensive. Also you should file a claim with the wrecker driver's insurance for the body damage, he assumed liability when he towed the car regardless of the flat tires.

I agree with Big Daddy about the damage done when unloading the car from the wrecker - definitely the driver's fault regardless of the fact that all four tires were flat - he and his insurance company assumed the liability when he decided that it would be feasible for him to tow your car with the equipment that he had.

However, Big Daddy, my Camaro was keyed a few years back, and I had to pay my $250 comprehensive deductible. I have State Farm insurance. Vandalism always falls under comprehensive, and you'll have to pay your deductible. Vandalism to your car will not be covered if you don't have comprehensive.

Man, I feel for ya. Some jackass in my dorm thought it would be funny to randomly throw a beer bottle in the parking lot of our dorm. Well, the bottle happened to come down on my hood. Now I have a nice little dent on my hood (it also sucked getting all the glass up around my car). I wish I had the time to go get it fixed, but I'll have to wait until Christmas break. People who randomly do things to other peoples cars just suck, plain and simple.

yeah, that sucks, i've had some issues like that before with other cars, only they did it to get my stereo out.

and that guy with the tow truck should deffinently take care of it especially since you warned him about the breaking board.

My own little way of releasing my pain. Yeah i know it's dirty, but I washed it two days before the pics were taken, then it rained for two days, go figure. Hence all the mud on the tires

I have no idea who did it to answer your question. I was madder than a cat $hitting tacks tho. I talked to the boday shop and I am getting all new front end parts (bumper, lip spoiler, trim, paint, fog light, fog light brackets, plastic wheel arch plastic, plastic under the bumper, and misc clips and pins)

Man, I'm really sorry. People around here are always getting their tires slashed, I don't understand it. Why the hell would you do something like that to someone's car? I mean you don't gain anything, it isn't funny, and if the person who you're doing it to finds you, you better pack up your shit and move to another state. My friend drives a Volkswagen GTI with 18” wheels and low profile tires (I’m not sure about the exact measurements, but each tire is $250) and his deductible is over $1,000. He got his tires slashed at some club and now he has to buy a whole new set with no help at all.

Is that the two truck moron in the second picture? I'm sorry this happened - I know it's extremely aggravating - my '67 Camaro was keyed while it was parked in the parking lot at the Super Chevy Show at the Atlanta Dragway. They managed to gouge every single body panel, including the roof down to the bare metal. Of all places, I would have figured that something like that wouldn't happen while my car was parked at a huge car show dedicated to cars like mine. Some people are just jealous and have to be complete assholes about it - that's why your tires got slashed. Some idiot was just jealous of your car, which looks really nice, btw.

I'd still go after the two truck driver or whatever company he works for - threaten to take them to small claims court if they don't pay for the damages.
