Vibration when turning right

My 318is was in an accident (hit on driver's side door). I have made most of the repairs, but there is one problem that I don't seem to understand and could use some helpful advice or at least some direction.

I have noticed an intermittant noise and sensation in the steering wheel, usually when I am making a right turn. It is worse if the car is undergoing a deceleration force and a right turn. Decelarating and going straight usually doens't result in my noticing anything unusual. Also, I don't notice the noise of steering wheel sensation when turning left under the same circumstances. If I am going slow and turning right I may or may not notice the noise and steering wheel "vibration."

I am considering some problem with the suspension, but the struts themselves don't seem to be too bad. Rack? Tie rods? Something else in the suspension? Help please.

hey welcome to the site. sucks about your accident, but in terms of suspension it could be a number of things. my first guess was that your struts may be leaking, that caused a good vibration and squeaking sound on my buddies subaru. i'm guessing that if your tie rods were shotty you wouldn't be driving you car, so thats kind of out. i haven't known ball joints to make noise, but if they are really shot then maybe.... but i'm really not sure.

You are probably right about the tie-rods. What I find confusing is why I notice the vibration and noise only when I turn right and not left. Would a damaged strut do that? I can see that, when decelerating and turning right that there would be more force placed on the left strut. And less force on the left strut (and more on the right) when turning left.

Any more advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
