well, i'm guessing that your wheels, if they are from a 5er, have like a 30something or less mm offset, the spacer would make up for that offset difference (i think e36's can't go below 38 or 41mm) and then you'd have almost no rub.

I still don't get it. See the problem is that the wheel sticks out so much on the inside. Causing it to rub against the fender. If i put spacers, will it not stick it out more? Or maybe i don't know what spacers are. Help me. here's a pic of the wheel. it's the 17x7.5 one. am not sure what my offset is.

do you have the 21mm or 45mm offset? stock for an e36 i think is 46mm, so the 45's should be fine. i think i misunderstood your request, doesn't sound like spacers would do the trick. but to tell you the truth i've never used spacers, and dont' understand all of their applications.

yes u can roll and pull your fenders, about 35-50 per wheel.
they heat the paint, to prevent cracking then roll a machine
against the fender to stretch it out and pull it up a little

worked for me to stop rubbing. =]

Have you thought about rolling your fenders?

I agree with what he said, most tire shops can do this or refer you to someone that can. I will take about an hour to do.
