17-21 MPG in city traffic with a decent foot on the pedal, not a lead foot. It is a bit heavy though with the convert top and the 17 inch chrome rims. Pretty decent though.....sad thing is my 98 Z28 LS1 got about the same MPG with the V8.[:(!]
Yeah, those LS1's get incredible mileage for the amount of performance that they deliver. Shoot, the 405 hp LS6 in the Z06 still gets 19/28 mileage!

You see so very few of them on the road in that condition. I did see a nice hugger orange 69 though.....wonder if it had a 302.[:)]

Sorry pal, no deal. [;)] Thanks for the compliments. My family and I restored it from the ground up - it was pretty much a mess when I got it, but in better shape than every other Camaro I had looked at and was cheaper. There is not a square inch of Bondo or filler anywhere on the body. My dad's also got a '57 Chevy 210 sedan 2 door, but it's not restored. Some of the parts from his car have made it back on the road in my car, and someday the rearend in his 57 will make it's way into my Camaro (a 1970 12 bolt posi with 3.30:1 gears from a Nova that he got in 1972 - it hasn't been on the road since, so it's essentially brand new).

I miss driving the car - wish I could have it up here in NC with me, but I can't afford to have insurance on both of my cars at once. Not that my insurance is high (no tickets or infarctions since I started driving), but my damn medical school loan budgets keep me from financing it. [?|] I'm still not quite used to not hearing the exhaust in my BMW and the fact that you can't feel the engine running at idle. I'm used to the loud 2 chamber Flowmasters on my Camaro and the camshaft-induced rocking of the car with that oh-so-awesome lumpity-lump sound at idle. I also miss people coming up to me and talking to me about the car when I get gas or stop at a traffic light - apparently the E30 BMW isn't as nostalgic. [;)] Most of all, I just miss working on my car and tinkering with it - that was my main hobby and stress relief.

Oh well, it's probably a good thing that it's at my parents' house - if it was up here, I'd want to tinker with it all the time, and I'd never get any studying done![;)]
