Kinda curious, I have a 97 328IC, 67K on it so far, only problems:

replaced radiator
antenna rubber grommet rotted
rear speakers blown....dry rot
a few tail light bulb issues
leather seats not wearing well...at least drivers seat and center console
convert top tension strings broke.....wear and tear
sometimes one touch windows have a mind of their own.....can live with it
Bad radio reception even with aftermarket Kenwood
few fluid leaks starting to develop...minor so far
broken AC vent louvers in the center vent....wear and tear
brakes are working great
no weird ticks or squeeks

Pretty minor things except the radiator, but got a new one replaced cheap.....

Curious to hear from you all. Just list your quirks and issues. Might be a fun post we can all learn from. Engine has been great. Trans, perfect. Suspention, perfect.

92 325i. just hit 190k miles. Now granted, we bought the car back in 2000, we still have had several problems.
-2 trannies (only had to pay for one b/c it was under warranty)
-new electrical system
-the cloth on the roof detatched and we had to get that put back up
-this is weird, but the panel where the sunroof button is falls down all the time. As a good southerner, I have used duct tape to keep it up.
- several ripped seats (not cheap to patch)
-various other things that like to fall off in the interior
-lots of little things

WOW....2 trannies....do you have a automatic or manual? How much did that run you for the one out of warranty? Sor far you are the king of miles!!!! 190k is awsome...is that the stock engine with no rebuild?

I have a 92 325i with 135,000 on it. Ive only had it since june but all I have is a recurring problem with my power steering. First it was the pump, now its the hoses. Thats the only thing i know of that has even been wrong with the car, aside from interior wear. The thing drives like its brand new. I think the clutch may have been relplaced.

127K- P.O. had to replace rear end. The drivers side window needs help, basic brake wear, Belts. power steering leaking, temp guage is goofy-reads hot or normal before I drive it out of driveway. Rear end seems to hang a little low-haven't figured out if shocks or springs-would LOVE input!!!!!!!!!!
Otherwise a GREAT car!!!!!!
I just picked it up a few weeks ago so any Info would be appreciated!
-Mel
I just hope I don't have to replace the entire electrical system! This is a "low budget" operation here!!!!!!

94 325i with 142k, 97k when I bought it 7/01.

As best I can recall (without getting out the folder) I have had the following problems:

Replaced rear shocks at 98k.

Replaced 02 sensor at 120k.

Replaced AC belt and Alternator Belt at 130k. (AC needs freon recharge)

New front rotors/pads all around at 120k, bought Mintex racing pads as well.

New tires at 120k. (AVS ES 100)

New exhaust at 110k.

New head unit, 4 spkrs, amp, sub at 100k.

Replaced head unit and PS window following break-in at 130k.

All in all it has been a very reliable car. Much better than my two first-gen Acura Legends, which had clutch and brake issues. Not as good as my Altima (new and under warranty)
