Will 17 x 8 fit on an e36

Would I have any trouble fitting 17 x 8 on my e36 318Is? The tire size would probably be 235/45/17. Has anyone fit these size rims on there e36? Do you loose the tight handling? The 17 x 8 are BMW rims.

They will fit . . just make sure they have the correct offset 35-40mm

yeah don't listen to dny79, deep dish aint gonna happen on a 46mm max offset

Depends on how deep . . . I've seen a 3" lip on a couple of bimmers, if you think that's deep.
