I have the 'one-touch' windows in my car... one touch it goes down, one touch it goes up. I'm not sure whether they were standard features or not, but regardless, I'm having problems with my driverside window. It will go down automatically, but won't go up automatically. My passenger side is flawless. Has anyone experienced this or knows of a fix? thanks guys

Yes and yes. I have to keep my damn figer there for.... oh i dunno, about 15 seconds. But it sucks b/c I'm so use to just pressing it and letting it do its thing. It's a common problem you say? What does a new switch go for? Thanks man

I have a 2-week old '04 325xi, and had a similar problem with the drivers side window. It wouldn't go up automatically, so I had to lift the switch and manually raise it all the way up (there are 2 settings on the switch). I left the car in the garage expecting to have to bring her back to the dealer for inspection, but the next morning the switch worked OK and I've not had the problem since. It's been about 5 days since the problem surfaced. Keeping an eye on it for now.

Wow, it's the end of the world when we have to actually hold our finger on the button to raise the window all the way up! [:p] Gee, I have to roll the windows up and down manually in my Camaro! How did I ever survive until I got my BMW?

Sorry, I saw the opportunity and just had to say it! [;)] I agree, sounds like the switch to me, and it shouldn't cost you too much, probably around $40 at the most.

I agree it is a VERY COMMON PROBLEM. You are not alone. Something I live with....funny thing is, it only happens in the summer time with me, been working PERFECT with the cool weather. Just posting my results.[;)]

I am not wasting my time with it, but than again, I have the top down most of the time and the windows rolled down.[thumb]
