After the new cam, vlaves and valve springs, my car runs like a top. That cam gave it that little (seat-of-the-pants meter says ALOT) extra kick that the car needed. Back together and running strong. I'm expecting another 100k out of it w/o too many problems, the whole top end of the engine is brand new!!

What brand products did you get? How long did it take you to do all the work? That sounds like some fun, i wish i had the bank and clock to do that to mine. did you run into any problems when doing the work?

I had it done at a shop around here, where all they do is bimmers, so i didnt get the pleasure of tearing it apart myslef. I dont know biimers well enough and I really didnt have the time. The cam is a OEM BMW German Spec and I dont know where the SS springs and valves were from, but the valves were $82 a piece springs with springs, so they werent really that much over OEM at $67 a piece w/o springs. And the only reason I had anything done was because my sister sucked a couple valves when she mis-shifted...

and no i didnt get a chance to dyno it, the closest place around here is about 125 miles away, at least thats the only place I know of or have been to before with my other cars. Like I said, i really dont have the time, or the extra cash after that repair to pay for dyno pulls...
