The weight, displacement, HP, compression etc. are all the same so I would assume they are the same ratios. Also this is before the new "shark" model came out so I'll go with these. Thanks!

In case anyone wants them. This is for the 540i 6speed. This is probably true for models 97 through 03?

1st 4.23:1
2nd 2.53:1
3rd 1.67:1
4th 1.23:1
5th 1.00:1
6th 0.83:1
Reverse 3.75:1
Final Drive Ratio 2.81:1 (Sport model is 3.15:1)

I have a spreadsheet that calcs speed @rpm based on wheel/tire size and all gear ratios so I've just been messing with the numbers because I might want to upgrade wheels and tires later.

Hey Montana your link to the CDV is also true for E36 M3's with LTW flywheels. They also call it a "lock valve." Since I have a LTW flywheel I decide yesterday to take mine off, you don't have to modify it just remove it. (CDV/lock valve) while I was giving her a brake/clutch flush. The response in engagement and disengagement is a big difference.

I was under the impression that they did not have CDVs on M series cars but maybe some do (obviously). Yeah and at the dealership, they call it a "lock valve" on the parts list.

As far as just removing it, some people don't recommend that because it changes the angle at which the fluid line attatches to the clutch housing by shortening the line, therefore causing possibilitity of a stress crack in the line. If you're careful I suppose you can make it work.

Yeah I burned my clutch out right after I bought my car used because it was old AND it would not engage fast enough and therefore burned out from fast shifting acceleration. Now, that thing will bite hard and fast and tear into the pavement. Woohooo!
