how do i reset my clock and date if I don't have the original bmw radio system in the car? I know there have been posts about how to reset the time, and i've read them and tried them, but i can't seem to reset my clock and date. Any advice would be very appreciated.

Take care,
Mike

it's a kenwood deck...
i thought that in order to reset the time/date, you needed to use the numbers 1-10 which are located on the stock head unit. Is this true? Can i still reset the time and date without the stock head unit?

most aftermarket radios have a date/time setting in the menu. try to find the button that leads you in the settings menu. like set or setup or menu. mostly you have to keep the button pressed for a while to get in the menu. search for the date/time. just try around.

oh and yes post your unit, maybe one here knows it exactly.

mike, in my sony HU i use the tune <-,-> and the vol. -,+ to set the time. you might also want to search online for a manual. try looking for similar models...i think alot of companies stick to a similar setup of their HU. g'luck.

Nevermind, I figured it out.
I was talking about the time and date settings on the digital display panel in front of the shifter, not the time and date settings on my head unit.

I pushed HR/DAT for about three seconds until the dots on the display were flashing, then I used h/DAT to set the hour and min/DAT to set the minutes, then pushed SET. Same thing with changing the date.

I was referring to the radio because I thought that I had read a post saying that in order to change the time and date settings on the digital display panel (in front of the shifter), you needed to use the numbers 1-10 located on the stock head unit. Guess I was mistaken.

Sorry for the confusion[thumb]
