After months investigating and replacing engine parts, the engine hesitation between 900 and 1900 RPM must! be any of the vanos part(s). It's the only (and final) cause I imagine for the hesitation and lak of torque in that rpm portion.
Then I'm looking for a good graphical explanation about the BMW single vanos components and how they work together.
Of course!, any additional hint or idea about the problem is welcome.
could be a vanos soleniod and not the who unit. Let me know if you need the vanos unit I can get you one for a good prive. Also, is the unit making noise?

Ah you're right BUT, vanos can be changed any certain amountn within 12 degrees I believe. Honda has 2 cams per valve, so the duration is perminantly defined - where as bmw's is variable for when it is on or off - its not pre set for a certain lift duration.
