I have a 1995 M3 Dinan stage one, which my mother is insured on and I am on a 1993 325i sedan. My insurance was around 1200 a year. I am 18 years old, and I paid for the car myself.

my dad owns a insurance company and insurance for any M car is very expensive. It is insure on the same level as a ferrari and stuff....very expensive to insure...but its worth it.

Yes I'm spoiled and yes the insurance is sky high.

We have 3 cars and we pay $8000~ a year in insurance!

The trick to insurance is get a family plan, and put the kid on the cheapest car you got, (even if you don't drive that car) and with the family plan, anyone in the family can drive anyones car.

Im put on my mom 91 350SDL Merc but i reallly drive the 04 325Ci. My mom is on the 325Ci and really drives a 04 SL 600. It works good

we have 5 cars on our policy and i think it cost roughly $15000 a year

That's kinda what we do, my mom placed my brother's IS300 and her RX300 on her name however couldn't place my car because I think there is a limitation to it. My dad doesn't work in this country so he couldn't place it under his name, therefore, my car is on my name and since i'm 19 it's quite costly.

However, i'm getting closer to 21 where the insurance rates go down so thats good in a way...

Compared to your $15,000, my insurance is looking cheap now lol...then again your family has 5 cars, we have 3

You don't want to rush and get old, so when your 50 you like well atleast my insurance is cheap.

I don't mind paying a little more, afterall, we are still in our youth and not old farts

Im 19 and i pay about $3500 for my M3 only because its registered under my moms name. I had my first m3 when i was 16 and the insurance was around $4000. If i have my car registered under my name, i would be paying over $5000 a year. I also have a good driving record but the prices are just out the roof.
